We love sharing our story, inspiring other women to make a difference in each other’s lives and in their communities. Some of the functions we have attended include book clubs, business clubs, and charity fundraisers. If you think you might have an upcoming event that would be enhanced by several of us attending, please send us an email and we will give it our sincere consideration.

The Women of Jewelia are honored to be Ambassadors for a web-based not-for-profit Foundation that has been launched in Ventura County and will go national and world wide with your help. 1Family 1Restaurant (1F1R.com) has partnered with Ventura County Food Share and their 200+ food pantry partners to provide meals and help close the gap for the over 95,000 food insecure here in our community. There are 46 million people in the US, a nation of abundance, that are food insecure. That’s 1 in every 6 people. There is a misconception that food-insecure means homeless, but often times the face of hunger looks just like you and me.

The Women of Jewelia were pleased to sponsor the Rubicon Theatre Company production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS, starring Bonnie Franklin and Stephanie Zimbalist. This hilarious and heartwarming story follows a group of women of different interests and backgrounds who discover that they are stronger together than they are apart, and who support each other through life’s biggest ups and downs. The themes of this beautiful play are closely aligned with our vision and goals as Women of Jewelia. Please accept our invitation to attend this production.

Visit our Facebook page for images, event listings and more.

Our first event was a fundraiser for an organization called The Coalition To End Domestic Violence. It turned out to be quite the party, held on on International Women's Day in 2005 at a restaurant in downtown Ventura. Attended by more than 100 friends and associates, we raised over $5,500. Since then, we have held several more fundraisers just like that one, traveled across the country from San Francisco to Chicago to St. Louis, Missouri to New York for our book signing and promoting adventures, attended numerous book club meetings, been the guest speakers at everything from local Rotary Club meetings, Women’s Club meetings, and other business organizations. We have attended events in Ft. Worth, Texas, New York City, and of course, all over Ventura County and California. One of our favorite events was held in October 2008 and brought more than 24 non-proftis that we had supported over the years together in an event to promote collaboration.
